On Saturday, October 29th 2022, Our Director of Advisory at ANGIN, Saskia Tjokro was invited to attend Green Future Festival at Hutan Kota Gelora Bung Karno in the event theme of “Collaboration through Tech Solutions for a Net-Zero Tomorrow” as a moderator along with Muhammad Yusrizki (Chairman of KADIN Net Zero Hub), Houtsma Simon Tomboy (Operational GM of SELIS), and Fanda Soesilo (CEO of SUNterra).

The Green Future Festival (GFF) is initiated by SUN Group to gather and showcase the initiative provided by institutions, organizations, and brands as the solution for sustainable living. This event presents a series of programs to increase awareness about the Net Zero Emission targets at all levels of society.

KADIN Net Zero Hub is one of the organizations that have been committing to supporting the awareness and emergence of renewable energy in the ecosystem to achieve the Net Zero Emission target by 2060. While SELIS and SUNterra, are the Indonesian upfront players in renewable energy development that have long been supporting the citizen to shift to more sustainable technology usage by SELIS providing Electric Vehicles (EVs) and SUNterra offering solar panels.

The existence of this event shows that Indonesia is currently entering a new phase of the energy transition process and that individuals must comprehend the fundamentals of renewable energy and how it is more sustainable than energy derived from fossil fuels. In addition, this program is certainly in line with the government of Indonesia’s List of National Strategic Projects, which the general public has to be aware of. Furthermore, it also demonstrates that the renewable energy ecosystem is currently being supported for better impact investment practices.
